Description The truck driver picks up and delivers products from suppliers and customers using established routes to get to destinations in a safe and timely manner. Position Requirements Primary responsibility is to be a good, safe driver who has knowledge of all road laws and safety rules for operating a truck or automobile Driver loads and unloads the company trucks, while making sure the products are boxed or palletized and parts are protected with bubble wrap or foam Secures products on the truck with tie downs and straps so that pallets and boxes don't move around on the truck bed Have all correct documents such as purchase orders, certifications, blueprints and work instructions when delivering or picking up products Retrieve signatures from suppliers and customers when delivering parts Upon return to the shop driver unloads parts from the truck and immediately brings parts and paperwork to the quality receiving area in an orderly fashion, so they will be properly received in the computer by the quality department Must exercise good communication skills with customers and always act professional when dealing with customers and suppliers Additional Responsibilities: Drive forklift to move material and parts When not busy with deliveries or pickups the Driver will help project managers and the shop foreman with shop duties including light bench deburring or packaging of parts to help with product flow Keep the trucks clean inside and out and informs the shop foreman when the trucks need outside preventive maintenance, service, or if there may be a safety issue that needs to be addressed May help with assembly work or shop maintenance/cleaning Education Requirements: High School Diploma; or GED Experience Required: Up to 1 year Special Licenses/Certifications: Forklift certified, must have California Driver's License Shift First Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Location PCX Aerosystems, Long Beach Category Materials Management Req Number MAT-24-00001 Position Driver Close Date Post Internal Days 0 Number of Openings 1 Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Hiring Manager(s) Jacqueline Cadena This position is currently accepting applications.
