Product Developer, Beyond Yoga

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be responsible for Product Development as it relates to coordinating and tracking samples for duplicates that are used by cross functional departments. It will report to the Sr. Manager of Product Development.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for all phases of development from 1st proto request through bulk approval, inclusive of adoption samples and salesman sample sets.

  • Partner with the Material R&D team on fabric needs for sampling and adoption.

  • Manage sample requests with sense of urgency and attention to target due dates

  • Experienced in Retail & Apparel development with a working knowledge of the development process.

  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with suppliers at both the supplier and factory level and act as a liaison between overseas vendors and cross-functional departments

  • Ability to understand and communicate vendor's key strengths and capabilities to cross functional team to support proper style allocation.

  • Anticipate and identify any potential obstacles in the development process and facilitate effective resolution by collaborating with cross functional teams.

  • Track sampling at the seasonal level and share timely updates of the sample arrivals

  • Ensures Merchants have all seasonal adoption samples by coordinating and driving deadlines with the cross-functional teams leading up to and during the sample production timeline.

  • Proactively communicate on an on-going basis with team, supervisors, and cross functional teams to ensure deliverables and decisions are met

  • Manage internal tracking system for real time status of samples, from order to delivery

  • Establish and monitor time and action calendars to hit major milestone deliverables

  • Attend and participate in meetings with cross functional departments. Key partners are Material R&D, Design, Technical Design and Production.

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in communicating with sourcing offices and/or vendors daily (written and verbal) on pertinent design, development and sampling issues

  • Conduct meetings with design team and proactively follow up on pending inquiries and sample approvals.

  • Reinforces core values by engaging all internal and external partners with a high degree of professionalism and exhibits confidence and resourcefulness when faced with challenge.

  • Creates a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages authentic and transparent contribution.

  • Robust ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills that possess the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment with positive attitude

  • Proficient in excel and have worked in a PLM system

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Product Development.

  • Experience in Import and Overseas Factory communication a must

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a strong attention to detail

  • Must be able to work independently, efficiently, and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, deadline driven, and able to prioritize multiple task

  • Ability to be flexible to changes and pivot in real time... and enjoy being reactive and understanding the demands of a product go to market timeline/process.

  • Operate with a sense of urgency to hit deadlines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Officeand working with a PLM

  • Must have a can-do attitude and strong work ethic

The expected starting salary range for this role is $50,900 - $78,500. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
