Description

Responsible for the auditing and analysis of Cass Telecom customer telecom invoices including local exchange, long distance voice, conferencing, internet, and private data communications. The Sr. Audit Analyst Telecom utilizes Cass standard audit procedures to analyze customer invoices for vendor credits and cost avoidance opportunities. Acts as telecom consultant to customer as requested for all issues pertaining to telecom services.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Audit invoices for credits and cost avoidance opportunities. Document results by posting finding detail in the ExpenseSmart application.
  • Present recommendations to customers utilizing WebEx presentation.
  • Explain technical details and obtain customer approval for implementation of recommendations.
  • Issue work order via ExpenseSmart to vendors for complex implementation of recommendations. Document order milestones in the ExpenseSmart application.
  • Assist support staff as needed in regards to non-complex implementation, notifications, and validations supporting KPI expectations.
  • Support service migrations by providing contract term knowledge regarding risk. Ensure billing is removed or transitioned timely.
  • Interface directly with customers, vendors, and account managers as necessary to acquire customer contacts, vendor contracts, client business needs and requirements, and documentation necessary for compliance and overall location and inventory management.
  • Support Cass account management staff in managing the overall health of the customer relationship within the audit arena.
  • Support key performance indicators to ensure expectations are managed in regards to individual and team performance levels.
  • Provide customer training for circuit inventory, geographic locations, and general reporting.
  • Deliver superior customer service and support.
  • Act as a mentor for new auditors and support staff in regards to ExpenseSmart, processes, procedures, customer interaction, support, and overall customer management.
  • Act as telecom technical resource for other Cass Telecom staff members.
  • Provide support to sales and marketing team in a pre-sales technical role.
  • Support complex research efforts pertaining to vendor portal reporting offerings and LEC tariff and service guides.
  • Ability to support customer and internal staffing in escalations regarding audit processes and procedures.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:



  • Excellent verbal communication and telephone skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office products, in particular spreadsheet applications for database analysis.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Must be able to organize and handle several tasks simultaneously.


MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:



  • A technical level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in business administration or related area or equivalent experience.
  • 5 or more years of telecom bill audit experience in voice and data services is required.
  • 5 years of experience working in the ExpenseSmart application preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of telecom carrier billing systems, long distance rate structures, telecom contracts, and data network components and pricing.
