Wellness Coach - Part Time (Irondequoit Campus)

St. Ann's Community is currently looking for a Part time Wellness Coach for our Independent Living facility Chapel Oaks, located on the Irondequoit Campus. The wellness supervisor's primary purpose is to assist the Resident Services/Facilities Manager in the coordination, development and implementation of the wellness program assisting Chapel Oaks residents in obtaining and maintaining their optimal health.

Job Description:



  • Assists Chapel Oaks residents in developing, implementing and monitoring wellness goals
  • Works collaboratively with other departments, particularly Cultural programming, Pastoral Care and Dining Services, to facilitate such programming.
  • Works with other agencies, e.g. Arthritis Foundation, to enhance the wellness programs options available to the resident
  • Ensures that information regarding changes in resident's conditions affecting their need for personal and emotional care is communicated to Supervisor
  • Creates/Updates the online calendar monthly to include all events and outings
  • Completes and maintains resident release forms
  • Provides 1:1 and / or group instruction to residents regarding safe exercise techniques
  • Prepares and presents educational workshops for CO residents and / or staff pertaining to health and wellness


Candidate Requirements



  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred)
  • Professional group fitness experience or personal training experience with a minimum of 1 year experience required
  • Valid NYS Driver's license required
  • Experience working with Elder population is preferred
