COACH AST 3 (Assistant Coach: Women's Soccer)

Under general direction of the women's soccer head coach, assist in all aspects of the NCAA Division I women's soccer program including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, assisting with the administration of summer camps and clinics, and administration of the women's soccer program in full compliance with NCAA, conference and university rules and regulations.

• Complete and pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association Recruiting Examination per NCAA bylaw 13.1.2 (Permissible Recruiting) before recruiting.
• Current CPR & First Aid certification or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire and certified bi-annually.
• Position will participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System.
• In accordance with UC Davis Athletics' hiring process for coaches, UC Davis will require any head coach or assistant coach final candidate(s) to sign an authorization for a reference check. Pursuant to your signed authorization form, we will inquire with your prior institution(s) about any records of substantiated misconduct

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Minimum Education/Experience

• High School Graduation or Equivalent

• Collegiate coaching and playing experience in the sport of women's soccer.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

• Knowledge of the rules and strategies of women's soccer. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)

• Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.
