Position Summary
The Career Coach reports to and works under the regular direction of the Assistant Director of Corporate Engagement and is an intricate member of the USS team. The Career Coach serves as a liaison (direct link) between USS and the Finance Department to manage relationships with employers, students, and alumni involved in internship and full-time recruiting. This position performs data management, special event coordination, and operational roles essential to effective execution of recruiting and alumni relations goals.

Duties/Responsibilities
I: Student Career Development
* Provide individual and group career coaching using effective counseling/coaching techniques and career assessment instruments.
* Establish and maintain proficiency of Handshake and LinkedIn while maintaining constant familiarity of job postings.
* Monitor and communicate recruiting trends and changes.
* In collaboration with Finance Department related groups, develop, organize, and implement educational programming including workshops, industry panels, and presentations on career education topics.

II: Recruiting & Relationship Management
* Work collaboratively with the USS and Finance Department to provide exceptional experiences for both companies and students involved in full-time and internship recruiting.
* Create and maintain marketing materials used to build new recruiting opportunities for Finance students.
* Attend employer events including, but not limited to: Employer of the Day, Information Sessions, Coffee Chats, on Campus Interviews.
* In conjunction with USS team, advise recruiters on best strategies to target Finance students.
* Benchmark Terry's recruiting policies for finance employers and students against other schools; recommend changes as appropriate.
* Coordinating with the USS team, follow up with recruiters and other on-campus visitors to get feedback on student interactions; communicate findings and recommend follow-up to the USS team, Head of Finance Department.
* Perform data management, analytical, and system/operational roles essential to effective functioning of the USS.
* Meet monthly with Finance Department Head.

* Lead coordination of annual department-specific events.
* Work with Terry Special Events, Marketing & Communications, and other internal groups to ensure smooth execution of events.
* Work with Terry and UGA Alumni Relations and Development to recruit alumni and other constituents to participate in events.
* Promote events to students to ensure adequate attendance.
* Coordinate follow up with participants and attendees.

IV: Alumni Relations
* Serve as point of contact for finance alumni interested in providing career coaching.
* Develop relationships with alumni working in Finance to better understand hiring trends and skills needed to better advise our students in career decisions.
