In Finance IT, we deliver the technologies that power Cisco's Finance and Commercial Processes through scalable and sustainable architectures to drive profitable growth & operational efficiency. The Finance IT organization is a team of fun-loving and motivated individuals working on managing IT architecture, platforms, and engineering services for Cisco core financials area.

What You'll Do

The Subscription Management team is currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Software Engineer to become part of our team. More than any other quality, we are looking for those inspired by the challenge of solving unique and difficult technical problems for our business partners, those who excel when given creative freedom, and those who aren't afraid to dive into new territory (technical or otherwise) and learn something new.

You Will:

• Build maintain and transform Cisco's Billing Platform.
• Responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications. This includes writing high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code using programming languages and frameworks relevant to the project.
• Identify technical challenges, analyze requirements, and develop solutions that meet the needs of the project and end-users.
• Participate in software design and architecture discussions, helping to create scalable, maintainable, and well-structured software systems.
• Work closely with other team members, such as product managers, designers, quality assurance engineers, and other developers, to deliver projects successfully.
• Write and maintain documentation for code, architecture, and processes - this is important for knowledge transfer and team collaboration.
• Write unit tests and, in some cases, participating in integration and system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
• Identifying and fixing software bugs and issues. This is a critical part of the job. Debugging skills are essential.
• Work within Agile frameworks, participate in sprint planning, and provide regular updates on their progress.
• Deploy and maintain applications in production environments.
• Use your knowledge of DevOps practices and tools to ensure our deployment pipelines are robust.
• Participate in and conducting code-reviews to maintain code quality and consistence.

Basic Qualifications -

• Bachelors with 5 years OR Masters with 2 years of related experience in the field.
• 3 + years of in-depth understanding and experience of working in at least one end to end order to cash implementation with focus on SAP ABAP development in subscription space.

Preferred Qualifications-

• 2+ years of expertise in the configuration and customization experience of the following areas of SAP SOM and CC:

• Subscription Order Management (SOM) - Solution Quotations, Subscription Orders, Subscription Contracts, Change Processes, Product modelling, cross catalog mapping, Customer/product master data setup, Account Split, Order distribution infrastructure ODI.
• Convergent Charging (CC) - Complex Charge Plan and Charge logic configuration for recurring/one-off/usage scenarios, Pricing macro, Allowance management, Shared Allowances, Catalog Management, Billable item management, Consumption Item management, admin+ system parameters, schedulers, and Web Services.
• Convergent Invoicing (Good to have) - Billing and invoicing processes, Billing Plan, Rating/Re-rating processes

• 3+ years of related enabling capability for business transformation, Information Technology program management, eService delivery management and/or Portfolio management.
• 3+ years of experience with enablement motions with a background in software subscription, services delivery and/or product management.
• Proven track record to negotiate and influence actions of team members outside of function for improved team and service performance.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Exposure to SOLMAN implementation
• Ability to migrate TRs
