CCBHC Mobile Crisis Outreach Worker

Community Care Alliance is seeking an outreach worker to join our innovative and interdisciplinary mobile crisis team. The outreach worker plays a unique role in proactively engaging community members not otherwise engaged in treatment by offering referrals, resources, and connection to care. The worker will act as a bridge between potentially at-risk or traditionally underserved individuals and available services. Duties may include, but are not limited to: visits to high-need community sites, transporting clients interested in seeking services, liaising between community and treatment resources, data collection, and other duties as assigned. Outreach to clients and communities will always take place with another mobile crisis team member.

Outreach workers play a vital role in combating stigma by providing education, resources, and support to potentially vulnerable populations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong cultural competency with affected populations; a commitment to the ideals of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; experience with crisis work, harm reduction, and/or community engagement; ability to thrive and adapt in fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environments; and a willingness to think creatively as this is a new and innovative program. Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply; language skills are compensated.

Education/ Skills:Associates degree in a human services-related field required, with relevant experience in behavioral health or community organizing; bachelor's degree preferred. Trained and/or certified Community Health Workers strongly encouraged to apply.
