This is a Night Shift Position, On-Site, M-TH, 330p-2am.

Summary:

Under general supervision, the Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for the timely set up and tear down of tooling, setting up kits, and issuing hand tools, materials, fixtures, and equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Duties:

  • Assemble and preset tools and tool holders using a Speroni tool pre-setter.
  • Issue replacement tools to machinists as required.
  • Tear down and inspect incoming tooling and equipment for defects and wear.
  • Organize and maintain tooling and fixture inventory using the FTS Tooling System.
  • Receive, mark and identify incoming tooling and equipment.
  • Track the location of tools and equipment issued to vendors and employees.
  • Utilize proper storage methods to increase availability and minimize loss.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of tool crib area.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of tooling and fixturing gained through prior machinist or other relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting machining drawings and setup sheets.
  • Basic Excel, MS Access, Word, and keyboard/10 key skills.
  • E2 Shop System Manufacturing Software skills a bonus.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements

  • A machine shop environment
  • Frequent standing
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional overhead lifting, climbing ladders.
