Medical Billing Associate Lubbock 37476BR Position Description Employees in this position are responsible for the maintenance of patient billing accounts and performing numerous related functions to accomplish this task; such as, patient registration, insurance follow-up, financial screening of unfunded patients, answering patient billing inquiries, collection of unpaid balances and posting of payments in the Regional Campus Business Office. Major/Essential Functions Self-motivated; Self-starter. Problem solving and decision-making skills. Must have effective time management and organizational skills. Excellent, effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to maintain professional composure and effectively represent the organization Effective listening skills. Type 40 wpm 10 key by touch Ability to operate standard office equipment Good working knowledge of multi-specialty billing, third party payers, government payers and their operating procedures and practices. Quick and efficient learner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stake holders. This is a Hybrid Remote Worker Position Required Qualifications A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Two years of medical or general office experience OR Completion of related education or training and one year of experience.
