Base Pay Range: $83,800.00 - $142,500.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-MI-Ann Arbor-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits identified below. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

As a cyber engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing secure systems and solutions to protect our clients from cyber threats. You will use your expertise in various domains such as cryptography, network security, malware analysis, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and incident response to create innovative and robust defenses against malicious actors. You will also collaborate with other engineers, analysts, and partners to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance for our products and services.

This is a Hybrid role (3 days/week onsite), based in at our Midwest HQ in Ann Arbor, MI

Roles and responsibilities

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C#, or C++

  • Work with common security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, ISO, OWASP, or CIS

  • Applying security standard methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle

  • Conducting security testing and analysis using tools and techniques such as static and dynamic analysis, code review, fuzzing, reverse engineering, or exploit development

  • Developing and deploying security solutions for cloud, web, mobile, or IoT platforms

  • Support various operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, or Mac OS

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of professional experience in cyber engineering, security engineering, or related role

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience with network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, or VPN

  • Experience with security tools and platforms, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, or DLP

  • Experience in researching and staying up to date with the latest cyber threats, trends, and technologies

  • Possess a relevant certification(s) such as II, CE, IAT, IAM, TIA, Security+, HP, CEH, and/or GIAC

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
