Under limited supervision, maintains Gilchrist Center in Towson, the Howard County Inpatient Unit, the Howard County Office building and grounds so that all systems and equipment operate well and that the area is attractive and comfortable for patients, families and staff and follows local, state, federal and accrediting agency requirements. Additional responsibility for minor repairs at the Hunt Valley offices.Education:
High School diploma required and technical training and/or experience in mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. Licensure: Stationary Engineer License preferred Experience: Minor electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs and general maintenance Skills: *Advanced knowledge of building codes and safety regulations. *Skill in oral and written communication. *Ability to problem solve and make decisions. *Ability to identify, analyze and evaluate problems and provide solutions compatible with HOB goals. *Ability to set individual and departmental goals and establish methods to meet those goals.
