Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor college fiscal procedures including faculty and department commitments, research gifts, and budgets.

  • Monitor shared CNS Business Services financial email. Respond to all correspondence as appropriate or refer to appropriate staff to follow up.

  • Oversee the completion of mandated institutional reports, such as account certifications, balance reviews, etc.

  • Monitor the account reconciliation process for departments and assist when needed. Notify department contacts when account certifications are overdue.

  • Create and/or approve various financial documents including vouchers and transfers.

  • Manage the processing of new account requests, cash advances, service center requests, and signature authorization change requests.

  • Maintain and update content of CNS Business Services website.

  • Develop relevant training materials for departments.

  • Manage special or ad hoc projects.

  • Other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Ten years of progressively responsible experience in a financial setting. Bachelor's degree. Proven ability to synthesize data and produce written reports. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, Smartsheet and DocuSign. Professional oral and written communication skills. Ability to problem solve and research financial inquiries. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and manage projects. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to act as a facilitator. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with or training in specific UT systems. Familiarity with UT administrative procedures and accounting. Knowledge of, or direct experience with, business operations in an academic setting. Knowledge of other accounting or database programs.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $70,000
