Our Purchasing coordinator will assist the estimating department with post-award phases on electrical construction projects.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE:



  • Assist the estimating department with post-award phases
  • Draft purchase orders and subcontracts for estimating team
  • Liaise with in-house negotiator and vendor to execute purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Problem-solve vendor/subcontractor questions regarding scope, deadlines, and other project details
  • Maintain consistent contacts with vendors and clients to ensure successful and continued relationships
  • Track submittals, equipment delivery deadlines, pending issues, and budget changes
  • Interface with Operations team on design and scope through the buyout process
  • Prepare/track the buyout schedule tracking critical and non-critical purchase orders and subcontracts
  • Assist with in-house Chief Estimator on contract review and markups
  • Organize turnover meetings (scheduling, preparing agendas and related docs)
  • Prepares and coordinates the writing of confidential correspondence and/or reports, publications, documents, and presentations. Reviews drafts and assists with editing of documents to ensure a high-quality written product
  • Small business liaison - ensures small business requirements are met
  • May perform other related duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum of 5years' experience in anadministrative role
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • High degree of sensitivity for confidentiality
  • Task-oriented with an excellent sense of priority, logic and objectivity
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Independent and self-motivated with the ability to take the initiative to liaise with other departments and/or external sources
  • Excellent customer service focus with an ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, Blue Beam
