Recreation and Wellness at Auburn University
is excited to begin the search for a Nutrition Services Coordinator! The Nutrition Services Coordinator provides comprehensive assessments and individualized nutrition guidance tailored to the unique needs of our students, faculty, and staff. This role is critical in educating the campus community on meal planning, food procurement, and preparation skills, while also offering specialized counseling for disordered eating and general nutrition. You will spearhead the development and implementation of programs that nurture a healthier campus environment and lead as the office's primary Registered Dietitian, setting the standard for dietary excellence.

Essential Functions |
- Develops, implements, and evaluates student-focused services or programs.
- Collaborates with departments, committees, and individuals throughout the University to advance and enhance the effectiveness of the service or program.
- Develops and coordinates effective educational outreach, marketing, and training strategies and materials.
- Provides nutrition counseling, specifically disordered eating and general nutrition educations for students, faculty, and staff. This includes thorough assessment, in-depth individualized nutrition guidance, and nutrition education around meal planning, food procurement, and preparation skills.
- Serves as the lead dietitian for the Eating Concerns Treatment Team, an inter disciplinary team of professionals that provide outpatient eating disorder treatment to students.
- Educates, supervises, and oversees the Nutrition Graduate Assistant and AU Nutrition Team (select undergraduate and graduate nutrition/dietetic students) within the nutrition program by training, scheduling, and assigning projects and meaningful tasks to help promote Nutrition Services.
- Develops educational programs and special events to inform and increase the participation of students, faculty, and staff in nutrition and related health services.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications |
Master's degree in Nutrition, Food Science, or related field
Level I: Master's degree
Level II: Master's degree plus 2 years of experience in coordinating and developing nutritional counseling services.
Level III: Master's degree plus 4 years of experience in coordinating and developing nutritional counseling services.
Licenses & Certification: Licensed as a Dietician in State of Alabama required upon hire. |
