Job Summary Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is seeking a Student Services Analyst who serves as an embedded on-site high school advisor. This position coordinates and implements a college recruitment and enrollment program by building relationships with high school students, parents and high school personnel to provide services that increase PVCC enrollment. The successful candidate is a liaison with a comfort level to present in one/one or group settings for prospective students to raise their awareness between PVCC and PVUSD experiences. To best serve our students, PVUSD and the community the Student Service Analyst is required to demonstrate reliability in the workplace, consistently meet deadlines and fulfill commitments. Communicate transparently about workload and timelines, as well as ensure colleagues are informed to assist with a cohesive team culture with other embedded and on-site advisors. Be punctual and consistent in attendance to minimize unplanned absences. The Student Services Analyst is responsible for reporting to work at the high schools during their academic calendar year and the Student Services Analyst will report to Paradise Valley Community College when the high school is closed and for team meetings and/or projects at the local college. Note: This position requires frequent evenings and weekends. The Aspen Institute evaluates various criteria in its selection process and validates the levels of active and engaged learning in the classroom and the progress PVCC is making with the implementation of Guided Pathways. 1) First-year retention rates 2) Graduation rates 150 percent normal program completion time 3) Improvement of student success rates over time 4) Graduation rates of underrepresented minority students 5) Graduation rates of low income students Essential Functions 50% Coordinates and implements a college recruitment and enrollment program which includes building relationships with high school students, parents and high school personnel to provide services that increase PVCC enrollment; important activities related to the successful recruitment including career planning, college academic advisement, course placement, admissions and enrollment assistance and financial aid guidance; delivers educational planning in small and large group settings; provides information to high school students regarding Paradise Valley Community College academic degree and certificate programs; provides information on admissions, registration, program and degree requirements, education plans and information on MCCCD policies and procedures; assists students in early career and educational planning and the selection and registration of dual/concurrent enrollment courses applicable to their educational goals; provides information to students regarding Arizona transfer pathways and transfer resources; maintains knowledge of a wide variety of information sources such as: websites, printed materials, e-mail and Maricopa and university transfer agreements; collects and interprets data to make informed program decisions, monitors students' progress through the enrollment process and generates progress to goal reports. 30% Develops and maintains relationships and coordination with PVCC faculty and staff, early college programs, recruitment, marketing department, academic department chairs, occupational program directors, and Student Affairs managers to develop a thorough understanding of the college culture, programs and services; utilizes this understanding to help applicants fully understand and choose program options; establishes and maintains relationships with high school and school district personnel. 10% Collaborates with and makes referrals to other student service programs; may develop, coordinate, and participate in special programs designed to promote student outreach, recruitment and retention. 10% Attends departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities; performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation. Desired Qualifications 1. Master's Degree in education or related field from an accredited institution of higher education 2. Three or more years' experience with working independently and in a group setting. 3. Demonstrated experience monitoring, managing and coordinating communication to students utilizing technology and/or database management platforms 4. Demonstrated experience with one-on-one advising and/or presenting to groups in an educational setting 5. Demonstrated experience working with specific cohorts of students and identifying student success strategies to support persistence, retention, and completion 6. Experience setting and meeting goals and objectives 7.
