Bioinformatics Programmer 3 M_Biochem-Lab Genomics Resrch Full Time 78022BR Job Summary The LGR is in search of a motivated computational biologist/bioinformatician, who will use their skills as a seasoned, experienced bioinformatics programming professional with a broad understanding of computational algorithms and systems to apply computational and statistical methods to analyze and interpret data obtained from the next generation of functional genomics screens. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Operates independently. This unique hybrid model fosters collaborative and independent projects. Additionally, the laboratory serves as a resource for UC campus investigators to address their biomedical inquiries. Utilizing CRISPR/Cas9-based tools, LGR aims to unveil gene functions, discover new drug targets, and pioneer technologies for academia and industry.
