The Salvation Army Mission Statement:

BASIC PURPOSE

The function of the Antiques & Collectibles Pricer is to assist in facilitating the overall mission of The Salvation Army through the programs offered at the Reno Corps under the direction of the Director of Operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Process donated goods for sale in our physical and on-line stores
  2. Evaluate items and price according to industry standards.
  3. Ensure proper cleaning and packaging prior to shipment.
  4. Maintain records of hard tag items and update computer spreadsheets.
  5. Keep a current inventory of needed supplies.
  6. Contribute to the team effort or program participant guidance.
  7. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS



  1. Experienced in identifying and pricing antiques and collectibles.
  2. Basic MS Office skills.
  3. Organization and the ability to work under time constraints a must.
  4. Essential to be a team player and take directions.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must be 21 years or older.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  1. Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
  2. Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects
  3. Ability to reach overhead
  4. Ability to operate telephone
  5. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  6. Ability to operate a computer
  7. Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information
  8. Ability to operate basic office equipment and tools: Computer, Fax Machine, Telephone, Calculator, Copier, Printer
