What You'll Do:

The TacMobile System Administrator will work directly with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) engineers, vendor engineers, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command Atlantic (NIWC LANT), and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron One (AIRTEVRON ONE) in the development, operation, and verification of Fleet training on the P-8A Increment 3 Block 2 (I3B2) Ground Station (PGS).

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing information technology support to the US Navy and to apply their technical expertise to the implement, maintain, and provide instruction on evolving US Navy IT systems
  • Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) reviews of maintenance and operation publications to ensure standardization and training alignment.
  • Network maintenance, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring a high level of system availability
  • Conducting Fleet Introduction Training (FIT) on PGS as integrated members of the TOCRON 11 and MPRWS FIT team on the installation cycle at the Tactical Operations Center Squadrons (TOCRONs), Tactical Operations Centers (TOCs), Tactical Operations Center Squadron Detachments (TOCRON Dets), and P-8A Cooperative Partners (COOP) within the United States and foreign countries
  • Conducting site surveys and assisting in the installation of PGS, PGS FAK, and associated PGS specific
  • Supporting the installation of new Fleet Release (FR) software to support legacy P-8A aircraft on delivered PGS equipment
  • Implementing operating systems and network device security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides
  • Training the instructor cadres at Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Weapons School (MPRWS), Tactical Operations Center 10 (TOCRON 10), Tactical Operations Center 11 (TOCRON 11), and TOCs

Requirements

Who You Are:

The TacMobile System Administrator will have the following education, skills, and experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical area of study is preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Information Technology field, with 4 years of experience supporting the U.S. Navy
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of US Navy TacMobile equipment, systems, and future technologies supporting the P8A aircraft
  • Knowledgeable in Web-based applications, VM ware, SQL, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, VoIP, and Microsoft SharePoint to include software and network certification.
  • CompTIA Security + certification is required; Linux+ certification is desired
  • Experience with the DoD Information Assurance accreditation process is a plus
  • Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), Communications Security (COMSEC), and qualified Instructor with training product development experience preferred
