Introduction We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Optical Engineer to join our DUV Excimer Laser team in San Diego, CA. This position will primarily be responsible for specifying, designing, developing and testing optical modules for these powerful lasers. In addition this role interacts with mechanical engineering, hardware, and software design teams to assist in overall development of the laser systems. The successful candidate may serve as primary technical interface for outsourced optical design projects, where regular tasks include specifying, selecting and qualifying active and passive optical components, developing and benchmarking optical system performance models, developing and implementing test procedures, and evaluating and selecting appropriate test instrumentation.Engineering analysis, troubleshooting and effective communication are key aspects for this role. Role and responsibilities Assumes engineering responsibility for DUV Excimer laser subsystem/module/component design from concept through manufacturing transfer and ramp.
Education & Experience Requires aMasters in Optics Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with 8 or more years of relevant work experience, or a Ph.D.in Optics Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with 3 or more years of relevant work related experience.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $141,750-$236,250. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
