The Position: We are seeking to fill a Sustainability Analyst position. We are looking for someone to conduct technical analysis of SHA’s environmental stewardship and sustainability activities, projects, and programs. The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Public Administration, Human Services, or related fields
- Four years of directly relevant experience may be considered instead of a degree
- Three years of experience in resource conservation, sustainability, project or program management, or related fields
What will you do?
- Evaluate energy, water, and waste usage patterns and trends for all of SHA
- Assist with the administration of utility allowances for SHA per HUD, IRS, and Washington State tax credit guidelines
- Facilitate the planning and development of resource conservation and environmental stewardship projects and programs
- Provide support and program analysis for other SHA departments
- Coordinate and conduct staff and resident enrichment programs for diverse audiences that create opportunities for education and professional development in resource conservation, environmental stewardship, and sustainability
- Establish and maintain relationships with Seattle City Light, Seattle Public Utilities, King County, solid waste haulers, solid waste processors, and Puget Sound Energy to effectively monitor and analyze SHA’s utility and waste reduction activities
- Identify technical and financial resources outside the agency in support of resource conservation activities
