Description

The Associate Director of Video & In-Venue Production will be a key stakeholder in supporting the digital needs of Holy Cross Athletics and will be primarily responsible for all aspects of in-venue productions, including the direction and operation of various in-venue platforms (videoboards, LED ribbons, LED tables). This position will also have responsibilities (roughly 35%) producing creative video content to support recruiting, revenue generation and live event production. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience technical directing and/or producing in-venue shows or live broadcasts, as well as the ability to create high-impact videos from ideation through postproduction. Experience with Daktronics videoboards and Show Control preferred. Candidates should include link to previous work with application. Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Develop dynamic and engaging videoboard content to support in-venue productions and an enhanced game day environment at all home football, basketball and ice hockey games
  • TD and/or produce in-venue shows on game day in collaboration with the Director of Marketing
  • Produce compelling creative video content to support and enhance recruiting, revenue generation, fan acquisition and retention, and organizational branding
  • Conceptualize, script, shoot and edit hype and intro videos to engage fans and promote teams, student-athletes and events
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and programs, including creative content, marketing, communications and corporate sponsorship teams, as well as various coaching staffs
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, working within budget and scheduling requirements
  • Enhance and elevate the Holy Cross Athletics brand through strategic creative decisions, commitment to forward-thinking ideas and strong understanding of industry trends
  • May assist with execution of select live linear and non-linear broadcasts
  • Experience producing motion graphics is a plus
  • Ideal candidate will be an energetic, dynamic storyteller
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; must have demonstrated experience within the field
  • Previous experience as technical director and/or director
  • Experience with Newtek Tricaster and/or Ross Carbonite
  • Experience building shows and creating macros
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite; demonstrated experience in AfterEffects desired
  • Demonstrated experience in content development, shooting and postproduction for videoboards and/or social media platforms
  • Ideal candidates are: self-motivated with a passion for innovation and the drive to take initiative, knowledgeable regarding industry best practices and emerging trends, driven to improve, embracing of creative collaboration
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including frequent nights and weekends
  • Passion for sports and video production
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively
  • Ability to produce on deadline while maintaining strong production quality, consistency and branding
  • Experience collaborating effectively with a team and working cross-functionally to achieve department goals
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds and stand for multiple hours at a time
