The lab of Dr. Reuben Harris at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is looking for a focused, meticulous, and enthusiastic Lab Manager to support day-to-day operations. The Harris Lab seeks to understand how DNA mutating-enzymes (APOBECs) provide immunity against viral infections, yet also contribute to tumor evolution through genomic DNA mutagenesis. The work of the lab aims to translate its fundamental discoveries into novel therapeutics against viruses and cancer. More information can be found on their About the Role:You will hold a key role - managing the day-to-day operations involved in running the lab, serving as a collaborative partner to Dr. Harris, being the primary liaison between the lab and various external partners (UT San Antonio administrative offices, HHMI science operations offices, etc.). A successful candidate will have a background in the health or life sciences and be committed to encouraging a collaborative, thoughtful work environment. Due to the fast-paced nature of the work of the lab, ideal candidates are people who thrive in a constantly evolving environment and who have a proven track record of multitasking, as well as a desire to be a part of a community. This role is best fit for someone who is a self-starter and proactive in their support style - and someone who is passionate about the research work that the lab is conducting. What We Provide:

Compensation Range $68,500.00 (minimum) - $85,595.00 (midpoint) - $111,300.00 (maximum)Pay Type: AnnualHHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range. |
