Requisition Summary

PACCAR Engine Company has an immediate opening fora Software Developer Intern in Columbus, MS

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This is an opportunity in a fast paced dynamic work environment that will test and develop your analytical, technical, and problem solving abilities. This position will work with the on-site Software Engineers and global IT team to solve complex problems across multiple facets of the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Skills

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Program and have completed at least their Sophomore year of College.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience with programming languages (C#, C, C++, Python, Java, etc.)
  • 3 months experience with database design and scripting (SQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • Understanding of the SDLC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Agile Development
  • Knowledge of C#
  • Knowledge of SQL database design and scripting
  • Knowledge of web technologies (ASP.NET, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SOAP/REST web services
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Resourceful self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong professionalism and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
