Supply Chain Project Manager

Arconic is seeking a Supply Chain Project Manager to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) business unit in Lafayette, IN.

Profile: The incumbent will be primarily responsible for improvement projects pertaining to the Lafayette SCM group, but will also be expected to assist in projects in any other department in the Lafayette or Chandler facilities.

Essential Functions: The Supply Chain Project Manager within AEX requires technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork. Major duties include but are not limited to:

  • Gain understanding of current usage of Oracle ERP system against full system capabilities; initiate projects to maximize usage of ERP system and prioritize automation where possible.
  • Systematically identify gaps or improvement opportunities in the ERP system.
  • Identify disconnects in supply chain/production interfaces and implement effective solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally across the Lafayette/Chandler Business Unit to identify improvement areas and support; lead any necessary projects, which may be outside of the standard SCM scope.
  • Responsible to complete ongoing supply chain improvement projects as identified by the incumbent or the business.
  • Learn functions of the SCM department with the goal of identifying improvement opportunities and gaining capability to provide backup support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 5 years of more of experience in an SCM role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally across all departments in the business.
  • Experience leading projects cross-functionally across the business.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. *730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert in Excel
  • Solid experience in ERP systems, Oracle a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
