Peer Recovery Specialist Champion (Full Time)

Community Care Alliance is proud to offer an array of services supporting individuals who seeking recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. Many of these services are part of the Serenity Center, a peer-run recovery center.

We are looking for a Peer Recovery Specialist Champion to support our team of peer recovery specialists. We run groups that support recovery using a variety of approaches - twelve step, SMART recovery, and others. Specialty groups are available to women, veterans, formerly incarcerated, LGBTQ+.

Required Qualification

An ideal candidate:


  • Is a certified as a Peer Recovery Specialist.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of mental health and substance use issues.
  • Is able to develop treatment plans and use an EHR.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supports other Peer Recovery Specialists to develop professional competency and to maintain personal wellness.
  • Supports clients to build recovery capital, individually and in groups.
  • Creates opportunities to engage in substance-free social activities.
  • Connects clients to Detox and higher levels of care.
