As an Insurance Summer Associate, you will serve as a key member of the Institutional Retirement Client Group at Capital Group with primary responsibility of supporting the development, evolution, and management of our insurance business and product offerings. You will partner closely with Product Managers in developing and rolling out new capabilities and thought leadership; monitoring and evaluating our insurance business health; and recommending changes as appropriate. You'll add value to discussions about the development of our go-to-market strategies and the execution of plan activities.

As an Insurance Summer Associate, you will perform one or more of the following tasks:
  • Support ongoing business management related activities in support of the Insurance business including recurring business reviews and competitor/industry analysis
  • Partner with Product Managers to create the analysis and data behind the development of thought leadership, business cases, and business performance/effectiveness reports
  • Organize and supports the Insurance sales team needs and requests that may arise from the emerging hybrid wholesaler models
  • Contribute to product direction by helping analyze new and existing strategies, considering Capital Group and the Insurance business' priorities, market trends, and competition in the marketplace
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional groups, including Marketing and Operations, to ensure successful implementation and execution of plan activities.

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, in junior standing, graduating in 2025
  • You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Proven success in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to understand, analyze and organize large sets of data
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, sound judgement, and initiative in identifying and resolving matters of moderate complexity
  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills with team members and managers
  • Advanced proficiency with Morningstar, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in the insurance, asset management, or financial services industry highly desirable


Base Hourly Rate: $30 / hour

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
