Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Seeking a Component Engineer Support Specialist with working knowledge of Electrical and Electronic components, as well as some basic knowledge of mechanical components and materials. Participate in design development teams including part selection. Candidate will need to be an independent self-starter with an attention to detail and possess strong communications skills as well as the ability to concurrently manage multiple tasks and problems centered around parts and material issues. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Technical knowledge of Electronic and Mechanical hardware and Materials used in manufacture of Interstellar space, undersea, cyber, RF applications and everything in between.

What sets you apart:

  • Technical reviews and supports New Part Requests and creates/validates part information using product lifecycle tools such as PTC Windchill PDM Link
  • Experience working with suppliers to understand End-Of-Life and obsolescence parts issues
  • Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs.
  • Advises and confers with engineers in design review meetings to give part selections, analysis, and supplier down selections
  • Supports part-level failure analysis and root cause analysis and working with suppliers/projects to identify corrective actions and recovery plans

Target salary range: USD $98,900.00/Yr. - USD $107,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
