What you'll be doing...

As Consultant, Product Marketing, you will be responsible for supporting the team to identify, plan and secure approval of all promotions for the Straight Talk, Tracfone & WFM businesses.

In this position, you will work with the Manager, Product Marketing to partner with the Commercial, Customer Marketing and Sales teams for the respective brands to understand business needs and collaborate on the development of promotions across devices and service plans. This includes rigorous analysis of business performance and close collaboration with the key stakeholders listed above to create promotional ideas that will positively impact select KPIs (e.g. Net Adds, Service Revenue, Contribution Margin, etc.). You will own data gathering and analysis, working across multiple systems and sources to develop subject matter expertise in business performance. Requires excellent analytical skills, comfort with ambiguity and strong business acumen.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • In-depth analysis of business performance, specific to new customer acquisition, customer retention and overall profitability.

    • Including becoming an expert in the use of multiple databases and data sources to gather necessary insights

    • Proactively bringing conclusions from ongoing data analysis to the team

  • Working closely with the Manager, Product Marketing to collaborate with teams across Commercial, Customer Marketing, and Sales to create and maintain a robust pipeline of promotional opportunities that can be deployed as business conditions require.

  • Support the development of new processes and capabilities for how assumptions and inputs into business cases are created, partnering with Market Insights and other subject matter experts.

  • Partnering with Finance to efficiently and effectively develop and align on promotional ideas that can be used with confidence in fully vetted business cases ready for review with executive leadership and approval through Value Commercial Committee.

  • Actively contribute to all reporting and analysis for all executed promotions, owning the development and distribution of scorecards for regular monitoring of performance.

What we're looking for...
  • Passion for data analysis

  • Experience in either pricing, product management, trade promotions or FP&A with consumer products

  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional team in a matrix environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience contributing to executive-level presentations

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Experience working with suppliers/vendors to national retailers (e.g. Walmart)

  • Consumer telecom or electronics experience

  • Experience with P&L management.
