    Position Description:

    The Maintenance Supervisor leads, directs, and coordinates activities of maintenance mechanics engaged in repair, maintenance, installation of machines, tools, and industrial processing equipment. This role is also responsible for providing leadership, ensuring safe work practices and developing/approving procedures to maximize efficiency associated with equipment and industrial maintenance processes and personnel. negotiate all outside vendor contracts, review equipment specifications to support current and future business, determine what repairs need to be outsourced, and provide monthly analysis for all maintenance spend.

    This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, weekends as required, while also fulfilling on-call duties for repairs and assistance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the development, implementation and day-to-day supervision of maintenance systems, processes and documentation associated with efficient and High Performing Manufacturing Organizations (Prevention and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, SOP's, Safety, etc.). Lead a team of Maintenance Mechanics in predictive & preventative maintenance and machine repair.
    • Ensure maintenance is scheduled in a timely manner and work closely with Production to schedule and accomplish equipment and facility repairs Including but not limited to Scheduling weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and inventory.
    • Provide regular status reports to the operations management team.
    • Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
    • Manage and maintain an inventory of parts, tools, specialized test equipment, consumables, and support requirements to maintain an accurate Asset Listing for the facility
    • Review vendor invoices to ensure compliance with quoted repair costs and equipment pricing
    • Provide long-term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.
    • Develop and/or maintain Key Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting the performance of the maintenance function (supplier performance, 3rd party contractor performance, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness, budget performance etc.)

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma / GED , bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Valid Driver's License required
    • Ability to travel 10% of the time
    • 2 years supervisory experience preferred
    • Hands-on waste experience with the operation of track hoes, skid steer, forklift, vac truck, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, pressure washers, shredders, various hand tools, and material handling equipment is preferred.
    • Must be safety conscious, reliable, and have a strong work ethic
    • Be willing to work varying shifts and frequent overtime.
    • Must be computer literate and have good math skills

    Certifications:

    • 40 Hr HAZWOP
    • Ability Pass Respirator Fit Test
