POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the AoR account lead and on behalf of clients, this active, hands-on role serves as subject matter expert within therapeutic area to support team developing market access strategies, content for value propositions, marketing promotional material and engage in market research activities. Ensures content is both scientifically accurate and aligns with strategic objectives for the brand. Qualified candidates will possess strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills. Desire to operate as a strategic partner by making key recommendations that can be confidently defended. This individual must also be able to collaborate in a matrixed, team-oriented environment where all team members take responsibility for the quality and validity of deliverables from project initiation through completion. Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (client or consulting side), payer marketing, and/or managed care (employment or residency) preferred. Depending on the candidate's experience, this role may be filled at the analyst, manager, or assistant/associate director level; roles and responsibilities will adjust accordingly.

A typical workday for an AoR Market Access Analyst may include:

  • Interfacing with clients developing relationships, while providing on-going subject matter expertise and support for development of deliverables
  • Support in designing, implementing, and delivering on a variety of project types, potentially including:
    • Commercialization and market access strategy development
    • Value proposition creation (for client products to payers and providers)
    • Message testing/payer market research
    • Reimbursement and landscape assessments
    • Field force tools development and training (i.e., account manager tool kits)
    • Healthcare trend identification and impact analyses across the product lifecycle
    • Global payer/HTA market research
    • Brand planning engagements
    • Market research including ad boards, focus groups and MCN events
    • Market segmentation analyses
    • Account strategy
    • Pricing and contracting strategy
    • Commercialization strategy
    • Competitive simulation workshops
    • Push- and pull-through strategy
  • Serving as a clinical content resource for the development of promotional materials (including content for advisory boards and value proposition materials)
  • Participating in project team meetings and collaborating with fellow team members to efficiently complete engagements within allotted number of hours by given timeline
  • Supporting goals for business unit/service line growth
  • Ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all services
  • Therapeutic areas may include but are not limited to biotech/specialty products, orphan and ultra-orphan disease, oncology, and primary care
  • Demonstrating commitment to the firm and inspiring fellow employees to excellence in all matters of internal and external project work
What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced degree required, PharmD (preferred) or PhD. OR, MBA, MPH, or Master's in Health Economics or equivalent degree
  • Depending on level, minimum of 1-2 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry or managed care
  • Structured and well organized, with a proven ability to simultaneously handle multiple workstreams with varying degrees of complexity and time constraints
  • Demonstrates knowledge of managed markets, reimbursement, and/or health economics
  • Ability to confidently communicate complex material in presentations and discussions in a clear and compelling manner, tailored to various audiences
  • Strong presentation skills for both internal and client communications
  • Functions well in a team atmosphere
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, successful consulting firm, which maintains high quality standards and demands excellence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and associated software
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop sound, long-term client relationships and an ability to influence clients without being overbearing
  • High emotional intelligence and willingness to expand beyond the role in order to help the team meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to client sites (assume 10-25% of time)

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
