What you'll be doing...

The Verizon Value Organization is made up of nine prepaid wireless brands, looking for a Base Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our acquisition, retention and loyalty marketing initiatives. You will play a critical role in the strategy and execution of the loyalty rewards programs for Straight Talk, Tracfone, and other prepaid brands in the value portfolio.

  • Developing a strategy and executing the plan to improve retention.

  • Providing thought leadership on loyalty programs success.

  • Working closely with the Integrated Marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and positioning across touchpoints.

  • Ideating programs that lead to revenue growth.

  • Managing end-to-end marketing programs from business case to execution and reporting.

  • Uncovering actionable insights.

  • Leading and overseeing the development of go-to-market materials and communications.

  • Identifying success metrics and KPIs for marketing programs.

  • Researching and identifying new opportunities.

  • Incorporating process improvements.

This role may be considered as part of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.

You are passionate about underserved communities and inspired to make a difference in their lives through relevant products that are centered around their needs. You can visualize the big picture strategy, but can also break it down into the components to get the job done. You believe that the best decisions are based on data and you're the one that knows how to tease out the key learning within a dataset.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in the PEGA rules-based architecture, or a related field.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

  • Working with SQL and statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R, Python).

  • Experience leading a team.

  • Experience with quantitative modeling, statistics, or data mining.

  • Looking for ways to improve from both a personal development and wider team/business view point.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and high-quality standards.

  • Experience with visualization software (e.g., Qlikview, Tableau, Excel).

  • Demonstrating communication and influence skills.

  • Worked in a marketing organization in the past.

  • Storytelling ability and good communication skills.

  • Experience of using SQL to query large scale relational databases in a business environment.

  • Experience with documenting requirements, functional design and leading test execution.

  • Strong statistical knowledge.

  • Passionate about solving problems and works in a collaborative cross-team approach.
