Responsibilities

Job Summary Responsible for the Accounting Department's conduct and maintenance of required records to support corporate financial policy.

Responsibilities and Duties



  • Direct the daily activities of the General and Cost Accounting personnel and ensure the adherence to company policy.
  • Provide timely analysis, data and information to senior management.
  • Assist in the development, analysis and implementation of all plans, forecasts and projections and maintain a system to monitor such plans.
  • Perform special assignments within the realm of the accounting area and work with limited supervision.
  • Responsible for timely submission of reports and other data as required by group and corporate personnel and coordination of activities of internal and external audit staffs.
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate internal accounting controls including cash, payrolls and accounts payable inventory.
  • Participate in the planning, training, taking and auditing of physical inventories and the analysis of final results.
  • Maintains the Capital asset System and ensures timeliness and accuracy of data.
  • Monitor workloads and make recommendations on changes affecting personnel including new hires, discipline, promotion and salary adjustments.
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to Company manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
  • Maintains full compliance and conducts all activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required.

, Qualifications

Basic



  • Minimum of Bachelors' degree required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in accounting and finance in a manufacturing environment, supported by sophisticated automated systems.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.



Preferred



  • Preferred degree to be in Finance, Accounting or related field.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate technical and operational accounting issues and to develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and implementation skills to deliver superior levels of performance in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to proactively lead a small team of accounting personnel and to interact effectively with individuals and groups both internal and external to the company and at all levels.
