DESCRIPTION

Under general direction to Chronic Dialysis Nurse Manager with reporting line to the Acute Dialysis Manager, provides administrative, clerical and project management support within Nephrology Programs for Chronic & Acute Dialysis and the CKD program. Serves as community liaison/resource person for inquiries regarding assigned units to internal and external customers. Assists with departmental budget planning and monitoring. Develops and maintains databases for tracking staff training and license compliance, competencies, and jail clearances for unit specific needs.

Independently responsible for purchase order initiation, tracking and follow through. Responsible for all purchasing, travel, invoicing and other accounting needs by each unit. Prepares and assists with regulatory compliance and quality improvement materials as directed (including maintaining departmental files DHS & TJC compliant). Attends, records, and maintains minutes from departmental quality and other meetings as required. Maintains complex calendars, meetings and arranges travel. Performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three (3) years of previous administrative support experience in a high volume/complex environment.

  • Proven experience with written communication, meeting minutes,

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel (including spreadsheets, data sorting, trending & analysis) and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Qualified candidates will be subjected to an assessment to determine skill level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree.
  • Proven experience working in an acute hospital administration unit.
  • Medical Center experience.
  • UCSD Systems experience: HRS, PPS, Infopac, Travel Link.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act Full Salary Range: $40,700 - $78,258 Annually

The University of California, San Diego is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is defined as the Full Pay Range. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position defined as the Expected Pay Scale. Placement within the Expected Pay Scale is determined by internal equity, relevant qualifications, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
