As a member of the Employer & Individual Member Marketing team, the Marketing Associate Director position is responsible for developing and implementing B2C marketing initiatives focused on increasing member engagement across a wide variety of benefit offerings. This position will have direct involvement with Product teams, the Marketing organization and Marketing agencies.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Translate business goals into marketing objectives and strategies that facilitate business growth by leveraging insights from data and setting clear metrics for success. Ensure a clear member benefit and call to action
  • Prioritize various campaign requests supporting products, collaborating across the organization, setting clear direction and influencing senior management
  • Develop, manage and execute consumer insight-led campaigns collaborating with business leads, key internal stakeholders (e.g., B2B and OE marketing), and internal functional partners to develop marketing strategy, outline project plan, drive key milestones, manage budget, and timeline
  • Leads internal and external agencies and suppliers in development of creative work and strategic marketing solutions; provides direct and actionable feedback; creates alignment across teams
  • Work closely with data and analytics teams and media partners to develop targeted marketing tactics, test plans with clear business objectives and measurable results
  • Route & track campaign materials through key stakeholder approvals, including UHC partners, legal and compliance guidelines and requirements for accessibility
  • Create campaign communication strategy that drives consistency across touch points and meets health literacy guidelines

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of consumer marketing experience with a blend of strategic marketing, project management and/or marketing operations experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proven success in the development of strategic marketing plans tied to business goals and execution of innovative integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver results on complex initiatives
  • Experience managing agency and/or external vendor relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence across levels in a highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to develop and communicate a point of view, influence without authority, and balance multiple priorities
  • Strong, proven analytical skills

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
