The Associate Software Engineer position will include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. Primary Responsibilities:

• Accountable for product lifecycle including research, proof of concepts, architect, design, develop, test, deploy and maintenance
• Design and develop modular, flexible, scalable, secure, reliable and quality solutions that deliver business value through great user experience. Reuse the components wherever possible and sharing of components across organization
• Layer in instrumentation in the development process so that applications can be monitored. Measurements are used to detect internal problems before they result into user visible outages
• Build processes and diagnostics tools to troubleshoot, maintain and optimize solutions and respond to customer and production issues
• Embrace continuous learning of engineering practices to ensure industry best practices and technology adoption, including DevOps, Cloud and Agile thinking
• Tech debt reduction/ Tech transformation including Open-source adoption, Cloud adoption, HCP assessment and adoption
• Contribution to Optum Inner source / industry community

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) OR 6+ months equivalent software engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience with Relational database
• 2+ years of experience with Automation test suites, Git and GitHub
• 1+ years of experience with REStful API's and Spring Boot
• 1+ years of experience with Developing Front end web apps
• 1+ years of experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Sonar
• 1+ years of experience building mobile apps with react native

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $60,000 to $106,700.
