Software Test Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization. Develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes. Establish and maintain a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation or assist with the evaluation. Conduct or participate in formal and informal reviews at predetermined points throughout the development life cycle. Build relationships and thrive in a client site environment. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with functional testing

  • Experience with automated testing, including unit test, integration test, and user interface testing

  • Experience with testing applications in an Agile software development environment

  • Experience with working in a Linux environment

  • Experience with working independently or under limited direction or guidance

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant certification within 60 days of start date

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with using issue and project tracking software

  • Experience with testing Web applications

  • Experience with using scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and bash

  • Knowledge of the Atlassian Suite of Application

  • Ability to write and maintain technical documents

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret Clearance is required.

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $63,000 - $131,600 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $66,900 - $160,800 (annualized USD)
