Sr. Partner Manager, State & Local Government and Education

This position on the partner sales team is responsible for developing and growing and managing the Synopsys State, Local and Education (SLED) partner ecosystem. The position works collaboratively with the larger Synopsys global partner team that supports our SLED and other partner ecosystems. The primary goal is to achieve revenue targets through strategic business partnership and execution. This dynamic field-based role develops and implements joint selling strategies for Synopsys Application Security products and services, thereby growing mutual revenue. Sr. Partner Managers build sustainable business practices and cultivate relationships across Synopsys and partner business organizations through the development and execution of strategic partner business plans.

A successful Sr. Partner Manager will have experience in executive level presenting and planning and will be a highly motivated teammate. Responsibilities include:

  • Partner Management: You can develop strategic relationships with key partners to drive commitment to Synopsys products and solutions and to increase the revenue generated through 'sell with' strategies with each partner. Meet partner sales and business plan targets.
  • Pipeline Management: Drive joint Synopsys/partner pipeline from demand generation to close utilizing virtual partner and field sales teams. Effectively communicate, report, track and manage sales pipelines to senior management. Promote collaboration with internal and external resources to facilitate regular communication between partners and Synopsys.
  • Partner Development: Drive development of partner services offerings and solutions to support Synopsys revenue growth and increase partner profitability. Increase partners' Synopsys sales and delivery workforce through sales, presales & technical certifications.
  • Partner Business Planning: Generate and drive sales and marketing plans (Partner Joint Business Plans) with all assigned partners, including services practice initiation, enablement, business development, and pipeline generation. Set goals and priorities with corporate strategy.
  • Partner Enablement: Work closely with the Enablement team and technical partner resources to train and certify the partner's sales, pre-sale and consultants on Synopsys offerings.
Required Skills:
  • Background working in (or with) the State, Local and Education sector with in-depth knowledge of how SLED entities operate and procure software
  • 5+ years experience working directly with key Resellers, System Integrators and Managed Service Providers in the SLED space.
  • Understanding of the SLED procurement process and contract holders for various entities.
  • Relationships and contacts at key contract holders and/or key influencers within the partner community that calls on SLED
  • Experience in developing precise, comprehensive executive engagement plans that ensure successful execution strategies
  • Exhibits credibility and executive presence, influencing and instilling confidence at all executive and management levels
  • Proven experience in communicating value proposition in terms of partners' and end users' business needs
  • Proven ability to integrate partner sales, Synopsys core sales and extended teams to facilitate joint selling efforts
  • Demonstrated commitment and interest in both internal and external partner needs
Preferred Skills:
  • Proven knowledge and experience in the enterprise software domain, and knowledge - ideally - of the Application Security segment

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $111,000 to $194,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
