To connect with us, visitwww.gannett.com Part-Time Sports Reporter The Register-Guard/registerguard.com, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK,is seeking a part-time sports reporter to cover Lane County high school sports for 25 hours a week. The reporter will be expected to provide game of the week preview coverage as well as features on local athletes and teams, and other duties as necessary while working effectively in a digital-first environment. The ideal candidate embraces the competition, excitement and passion of high school sports; has experience reporting on sports (ideally preps); a keen sense of accuracy, spelling and grammar; and the ability to cultivate connections with coaches, athletes, boosters and fans to get scores/game recaps as well as story ideas. This role will require working weekends and nighttime hours to cover events, particularly Friday night football. Responsibilities:
