Bastian/ Chen laboratory in the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at Mission Bay Campus of UCSF. The position will support research projects focused on disease mechanisms of uveal melanoma, with the goal to identify novel therapeutic strategies. The specialist will perform standard molecular cell biology experiments including cell culture, western blotting, isolation of DNA and RNA from tissues and cells, RT-PCR, and mouse studies including breeding, genotyping, and drug treatment. We are looking for motivated candidates with the desire to work in a team at the frontier of research in a disease are that is in desperate need for new treatment approaches.
