Target Spring Start Date: January 2023 The Engineering Co-Op allows you to work at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities, technical center, or headquarters.
What you will gain: * Opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by a senior Plant Engineer * Opportunity to lead projects as identified by the Engineering Team * Opportunity to work on new installations and facility revisions * Knowledge of proper procedures in completing equipment analysis * Expertise in developing drawings and specifications for equipment layout * Involvement in investigation of new plant engineering processes and techniques Working Environments: * Plant and distribution centers co-op's gain experience of Plant Operations. They also work closely with our engineering teams and are often mentored by a senior Plant Engineer * Technical Center co-op's can look to gain experience with laboratory testing, quality control, etc. * Headquarter co-op's can experience working alongside with senior engineers throughout their co-op experience. During this time you will have the opportunity to explore installation and design of projects, PLC coding, trouble shooting, and more! OUR MUST HAVES- Hit apply if you meet all of them! Basic Qualifications: * Must be Currently Enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university pursing a degree in engineering * Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.80 * Must be willing to relocate to Any location listed based on business need * Must have sophomore, junior or senior class standing at the time of the Co-Op * Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future * Must be at least 18 years of age EXTRAS TO HELP YOU STAND OUT- These are not required for you to be eligible to apply, but don't be afraid to brag about any of the following: * Major in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. * Previous internship, co-op, or work experience at Sherwin-Williams or in a related field * Demonstrated leadership by involvement in extra-curricular activities on campus or in the community Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
