Network Engineer

The Challenge:

A well-designed network is critical to move data to achieve their mission, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That is why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to craft the exact network law enforcement needs.

As a network engineer, you will be managing, monitoring, and enhancing local and wide area network systems, including planning design, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites, and communications media with concentrators, bridges, and other network devices. Additionally, you will help resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, performance testing and documentation, administration of networks, configuration management, and provide input on acquisitions and design layout, as requested.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience with network design or network administration
  • Experience with Cisco Networking products
  • Experience with LAN/WAN communications
  • Experience with network management software and tool suite, including Nagios, Whats Up Gold, or MRTG
  • Knowledge of technologies, including Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), VPLS, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and traffic engineering
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with working in classified spaces to implement network solutions
  • Experience with cloud-based technology a plus
  • Experience in scanning, implementing, and documenting compliance with cybersecurity requirements, including Tenable Nessus scanning
  • Ability to initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks independently
  • Ability to communicate complex network principles and designs to clients

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
