Software Developer, Mid

The Opportunity:

As a software developer on our team, you'll work with our team of developers, DevSecOps engineers and aviation SMEs to overcome your customer's most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like cloud-based microservices alongside open-source frameworks and tools.

You'll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques, while helping to identify and implement system improvements. Using Agile software development methodologies, you'll build the Navy Meteorology and Oceanography communities flagship application for providing weather briefings and approving flight plans for Naval Aviators. You'll code and deliver the solution that supports the current architecture and operating environment, as well as support future functionality and enhancements. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications

  • 2+ years of experience in software development experience with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks

  • Experience with writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications

  • Experience with using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions

  • Experience with creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products

  • Experience with Java, Python, C#, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal

  • Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization

  • Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

  • Secret clearance

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; minimum Interim Secret clearance is required, Top Secret preferred.

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 90,000 to 110,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
