Lead Specialist, Data Architect

KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist, Data Architect to join our Growth and Strategy organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage industry domain data modeling, data management and visualization
  • Collaborate with Deal Advisory industry leaders for their data needs and create data products to meet those needs
  • Define and create an industry common data model based on various (internal and external) data sources
  • Lead data engineers to create data pipelines to map client data attributes, to industry common data model
  • Oversee data visualization engineers to create industry specific analytical insights

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in Database management, Data Analytics and Data warehousing, including cloud-native database and modern cloud-based data warehouse
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft data and analytics platform (Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, among others)
  • Strong functional specific industry and domain experience
  • Advanced knowledge of data architecture, standards and data governance in relational and nonrelational databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and communicate technical information to IT Leadership, the business, developers and support staff
  • Strong experience as primary technical leader, on successful large application deployments with the ability to manage resources and multiple projects simultaneously
