Director, Performance Optimization M&A Strategy- Public Sector

KPMG is currently seeking a Director in Infrastructure for our practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Performance and Operations (P&O) practice assisting clients in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of public sector organizations at the county, city, and state levels across the domains of justice and public safety, public and behavioral health, higher education, and transportation.
  • Lead and direct advisory engagements for public sector clients related to all disciplines within justice and public safety
  • Serve as the senior Project Manager and/or Subject Matter Advisor as part of client engagements, actively directing Managers and Senior Associates to deliver quality work
  • Drive business development through opportunity identification and targeting in particular market segments, proposing P&O's services, and closing opportunities
  • Lead discrete practice efforts on proposal development, focusing on value proposition, key differentiators, and win themes related to P&O capabilities and market opportunities
  • Participate in conferences, speaking events, and other thought leadership efforts to author and market P&O insights in support of client and market development

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ten years work experience in relevant consulting, business, government, or related fields such as justice and public safety, public and behavioral health, higher education, and transportation domains; prior large-firm consulting experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university
  • Understanding of general strategy, operations, risk, and resilience consulting disciplines and possess the skills and abilities to help contribute to client engagements in a team-oriented environment requiring complex analysis
  • Excellent strategic thinker with demonstrated strategic consulting or related experience in strategic development, governmental strategy, operations improvement, transformation, or business process reengineering
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support both client engagements and marketing initiatives
  • Willingness and ability to travel
