Director of Machine Learning & AI, Customer Analytics

KPMG is currently seeking a Director to join our - Center of Excellence for Advanced Analytics.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead proposal life
    cycle in the Customer Analytics space across industry by working very
    closely with KPMG internal experts to develop joint go to market plans and
    coordinate business development efforts. Lead responses to RFIs and RFPs
    from potential clients, budgeting time and cost between various internal
    teams, leading discussions with clients through the proposal process, and
    demonstrating leadership through the entire process.
  • Partner
    with other KPMG practices to identify
    and lead the development of new
    cutting-edge AI and ML solutions that are specifically focused around
    improving performance in the Customer Analytics space.
  • Overseeing the creation of machine learning models to
    gain greater insight on operational and marketing strategies, through all
    phases of development, from design through training, evaluation,
    validation, and implementation
  • Lead workshops and innovation sessions with clients,
    multi-disciplinary, and cross-functional teams to identify business
    opportunities, define problem statements, and design high level analytical
    solutions
  • Learn, communicate and apply best practices to plan,
    lead, and execute delivery of Data/AI engagements; working across
    different front office functions (marketing, sales, customer service and
    customer experience)
  • Lead in a fast-paced and dynamic environment utilizing
    virtual and face-to-face interactions; manage complex work streams,
    expectations, budgets, deliverables, and multiple responsibilities using
    structured approaches for operational excellence; and communicate results
    to executive level audiences
  • Work with clients to discover data sources and create
    data requests; Lead data discovery and ETL/ELT processes to ingest
    structured data and annotation processes to enrich unstructured data
    leveraging a variety of data sources (social media, news, internal/external
    documents, images, video, voice, emails, financial data, and operational
    data)
  • Plan engagement objectives and key deliverables while
    managing using analytic processes to mitigate risks in data, modeling,
    validation, and delivery
  • Leverage diagnostic and advanced statistical analytics
    techniques to design and answer complex business questions
  • Perform customer segmentation, cohort analyses, and
    create predictive behavioral models
  • Develop and execute analytical strategies using
    advanced techniques to measure digital content and fitness instructor
    performance
  • Work closely with our data engineering teams, providing
    inputs to support the design and build our customer analytics data
    infrastructure
  • Provide data & analytics products to enable fact
    based, enterprise decisions that drive the achievement of COA's mission
    and goals
  • Define, monitor, and report key business metrics for
    management team; Design, implement and manage various reporting processes
    and dashboards. Drive the development and improvement of the analytic
    environment and reporting
  • Leverage data across CRM (Salesforce) and other
    business & operational platforms using dashboarding tools (Tableau,
    Power BI) to build a unified metric capability across all operational
    functions (marketing, sales, negotiations, customer support)
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten
    years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of data analytics and
    AI/ML; including at least three of the following fields: machine learning,
    statistics, data mining, operations research, econometrics, natural
    language processing, business intelligence
  • A minimum of four
    years of management consulting, advisory, professional services and/or Big
    4 consulting experience
  • Master's degree or
    PhD from an accredited college/university in one or more of the following:
    Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics,
    Econometrics, Physics, Operations Research, or related fields
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and programming
    languages, tools, and platforms (SAS, R, Python, Spark, Hadoop, Alteryx,
    etc.), databases (SQL and no-SQL), data visualization tools (Tableau,
    Power BI, etc.)
  • Foundational understanding of cloud infrastructures and
    core services across storage, compute, machine learning, integration, etc.
    [preferred: practitioner certification in at least one of the 3 main cloud
    providers]
  • Design and building of machine learning solutions
    including data pipelines (data extraction, feature engineering from
    structured and unstructured data); And delivering analytics projects using
    leading processes (strong knowledge of data discovery, cleaning, model
    selection, validation, and deployment). And development practices such as
    testing, code design, complexity, and code optimization
  • Proven experience designing customer segmentation
    models, performing cohort analysis / lookalike modeling, and building
    predictive models to measure propensities to buy, engage, or churn
  • Proven experience building compelling and engaging data
    visualization and presentations.
  • Ability to travel when necessary; Applicants must be
