Admissions Operations Supervisor

*Overview:*
**This is a full time, year round position on our Admissions Team paying $20 an hour.**
Oversees the daily operation of the Admissions & Guest Services Department. Promotes a guest-centric culture which highly values both guests and associates. Upholds safety, service, and cleanliness to the highest standard. Trains and manages associates while developing entry level leadership positions within the Department.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.
*How You'll Make A Difference: *
* Takes responsibility for operations in all areas of the Admissions & Guest Services Department, including Tolls, Ticket Sales, Ticket Taking, Guest Services, and Call Center.
* Establishes and maintains good working relationships with other supervisors and managers across departments and divisions.
* Assists guests and associates in person and via phone. Displays outgoing, friendly, versatile, flexible, and professional levels of guest service in accordance with Cedar Fair's standards.
* Proficient in Microsoft products and internal company programs.
* Assists in the creation and review of training materials.
* Assists in hiring and onboarding of associates. Ensures timely start of first day for associates. Oversees appropriate staffing levels and provides recommendations for hiring periods.
* Maintains certification in all functions of the Admissions & Guest Services Department.
* Trains and develops Area Supervisors, Team Leads, and Associates. Creates and distributes evaluations for Area Supervisors.
* Provides tools and relevant park information to ensure the success of team.
* Oversees break compliance of Associates and Leadership Team.
* Ensures adequate daily staffing levels and coordinates cross-training of associates from other departments as needed.
* Attends and facilitates meetings as needed.
* Takes appropriate action to document, answer, and resolve guest questions and complaints.
* Interprets and analyzes guest and employee issues and feedback. Provides solutions to ensure satisfaction while following guest services guidelines and compliance with park and company policies.
* Complies with and enforces all department, park, and company policies and procedures; ensures compliance with federal and state laws.
* Writes and issues counseling reports when performance standards are not met to Area Supervisors, Team Leads, and Associates.
* Maintains high degree of confidentiality of paperwork and information.
* Oversees till variances for the Admissions Department and informs Security if theft is suspected. Audits standard operating procedures and work performance. Corrects and re-trains as needed.
* Maintains an environment that promotes and utilizes teamwork.
* Fosters a positive work environment in which associates feel appreciated and are motivated. Drives associate recognition programs and events.
* Identifies cleanliness opportunities and develops an action plan to ensure cleanliness expectations are adhered to.
* Works closely with the Area Manager to ensure the total success of the Admissions & Guest Services Department. Escalates feedback, opportunities, and concerns on a regular basis.
* Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair Standards when assisting guests or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions.
* Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to management.
* Meets scheduling, availability, and attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
* Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including Cedar Fair's Appearance Standards as outlined in the Corporate Guidelines and other park/division/department specific policies and procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Ability to perform essential duties of an Area Supervisor - Admissions & Guest Services.

* Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft products.
* Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills and utilize strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

* Ability to demonstrate excellent planning skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

* Ability to make sound decisions in high stress situations.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to draw and interpret graphs.
* Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
* Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
* Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
